Description:The course is offered to provide a working level of knowledge in the hazards associated with confined space entry and the environment. Subject matter includes a review of the appropriate OSHA standards, personal protective equipment, use and limitations of atmospheric testing equipment, entry documentation and the roles and responsibilities of those involved.

Course Objectives:

Students should be able to:
1. Understand the Definition of a confined space.
2. Locate and apply proper OSHA standards specific conditions.
3. Understand the hazards associated with confined spaces.
4. Understand the roles of an Entrant, Attendant and Entry Supervisor
5. Demonstrate the use of testing equipment and understand their limitations.
6. Outline the process and procedures which are necessary to successfully enter a confined space.
